Proxy Setup for NetNewsWire?

Like other Mac OS X feed readers, NetNewsWire uses the systemwide proxy settings.See Mac OS X proxy setup.

Update interval

Note that with FeedTree, you'll want to ask NetNewsWire to poll the proxy as often as possible to make sure the freshest news appears in the NewsFire window. To do this, open the Preferences and change the default update frequency to the smallest allowable number (unfortunately still 30 minutes):
