Purpose

The plugin adds the necessary FeedTreePublisher security information to all your WordPress RSS 2.0 and Atom feeds. By augmenting your feeds with information about your signing certificate, users of the FeedTreeProxy will be able to verify the authenticity of your signed feed entries.

Requirements

• A weblog running WordPress version 2.0 or later
• The FeedTreePublisher, set up to poll your WordPress feeds (see step #1 below)

Usage

1. Follow the instructions (or use the configuration script) on the FeedTreePublisher page to set up the publishing tool to poll your feeds and push updates. Make a note of the URL to your public certificate (the .cer file) and the certificate's "fingerprint".
2. Extract the FeedTree Publishing Plugin in your wp-content/plugins directory.
3. Enable the plugin in the WordPress administration interface.
4. Visit the new "FeedTree" section of the "Options" tab.
5. In the form, enter your certificate's URL and fingerprint. Click "Save".
